Mahesh Vinayakram, son of the Ghatam legend Padmabhushan T.H.Vikku Vinayakram, started his career as a solo vocalist at the age of 12 and is a senior disciple (shisya) of Smt. Radha Viswanathan.

Mahesh is an illustrious classical Carnatic musician from South India, bringing a special ‘melange’ of Indian music with world music. The beauty and uniqueness of his music lays in his ability to blend various genres of music from all over the world, and in his extraordinary improvisation with his vocal prowess. He has also sung in Bollywood & Hollywood movies, and has received various prizes and awards for his music performances.

Mahesh had opportunities to get vocal lessons from Gurus like Shri H.Y. Narayanan, Shri O.S. Thiagarajan and Smt. Savithiri Sathyamurthy. He has also trained himself as a contemporary singer for various world class musicians like Ustad Zakir Hussain, Steve Smith, Sandeep Raval, Talvin Singh and many more, and took part in world class productions like Sapthaakshara.
