At Yoga Mela, children are an important part of our community.
Each year we co-create a beautiful Children’s Camp — a safe, playful, and inspiring space filled with yoga, creativity, nature, music, and joyful connection.
We are inviting caring, creative, and responsible volunteers to help hold this space and guide activities for our young participants.
If you love working with children and want to combine service, community, and festival magic, we would love to welcome you.
Your role...
- Facilitate fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activity sessions and lead children in dance, yoga, art, games, or other creative workshops.
- Help create a safe, joyful, and inclusive environment for all children
- Assist with set-up, clean-up, and activity preparation
- Work collaboratively with other volunteers and camp coordinators
- Bring positive energy and help make each day meaningful and memorable
You are...
Comfortable speaking English and at least one additional language
Energetic and able to actively engage groups of children
Comfortable leading group activities independently
Reliable and punctual during camp hours
Calm, adaptable, and solution-oriented
Age 18+
Practical things to know before you join
Dates & Location: July 8 –19, 2026 Divinya, Farstorp, 241 92 Eslöv, Sweden Schedule:
- 8 July: Arrival between 15:00–20:00 — arrive, settle in, and meet your fellow volunteers
- 9–10 July: We come together to set up the children’s tents, prepare the activity spaces, and connect as a team. These days are about co-creating our children’s spaces and getting familiar with the surroundings. Full participation is needed during the preparation days to help create a magical and welcoming space.
- 10 July (afternoon): The first children arrive — The heart of the children’s camps comes alive
- 11 – 18 July: The official festival program begins — A week full of smiles, songs, friendships, and colorful moments starts
- 19 July: Breakfast and departure
Your contribution:
- 5 hours of volunteering during each festival day
- 8 hours of volunteering during the preparation days (9 and 10 July)
With plenty of free time to enjoy the festival programs! Fees and what you get:
- Full festival ticket for free
- 3 meals per day
- Free camping spot
* Returning volunteers need to apply again and receive renewed approval.
